Sungard’s Visual Portfolio Manager (VPM) software is now available in a hosted, ASP-based version from Paladyne Systems. The combination is intended as a low-cost, off-the-shelf substitute for patchwork in-house systems.
The linked article notes, “Operational infrastructure has become an important consideration for pension funds and other institutions investing in hedge funds.” So it’s newsworthy, too, that Fulcrum Group — a major fund administrator — has recently implemented Advent’s well-known accounting system, Geneva.
Paladyne offers ASP-based hosting of Geneva, also.
