The phenomenal growth has created a lot of open positions as Hedge funds by 300% in 1997-2007 is the double of 167% Growth in Mutual Funds. It would not be a wonder if Hedge funds accommodated anyone with fund management experience, which also includes who lost their place for low performance in Mutual funds. Yes, the last two years has been level playing field for all as many small hedge funds become extinct and bigger ones are vying for performance.
